Johan Wentzel is a South African based Creative Director, Art Director and Brand Designer. His work goes beyond how a brand looks on the surface: it is built on strategic depth and structured clarity, so the design actually solves the business problem it was hired to solve.

Over the years he has built brand identities and campaigns across a wide range of industries, from financial institutions to construction firms to renewable energy start ups. His client list includes Finbond Bank, Raptor Solar, Mint Kulca and Long Neck Brand in the UK, alongside larger projects such as the airport branding for AECI Mining Indaba.

He has spent his career doing exactly what The Identity Lab teaches in a single day: taking a business from a loose idea to a brand people recognise, trust and come back to.
